4. Our Tartan: Luxury Craftsmanship & Transparency
The House of Vere tartan is woven exclusively and privately for the brand, ensuring it is not mass-produced fabric. Important transparency: The minimum weaving run costs over £3,000 per tartan batch. The tartan is woven specifically for House of Vere and cannot be reused by other brands. Each garment requires professional Scottish tailoring and hand-finishing, reflecting the craftsmanship and exclusivity in the final retail prices.
5. Production & Waiting Times
As a heritage boutique producing woven-to-order garments, our timelines reflect the nature of slow, authentic textile craft. Estimated timelines include: Tartan weaving: up to 6 months and finishing, tailoring, and garment construction: an additional 4–8 weeks. Dispatch after completion takes 3–7 working days. These times are estimates and may vary slightly depending on mill capacity, season, and tailoring queues. By placing an order, you acknowledge and accept these timelines.
6. Made-to-Order Policy
All tartan garments are made to order specifically for the customer. Therefore, no cancellations are accepted once production has begun, and no refunds or exchanges for made-to-order garments are allowed. Tailored garments are non-returnable unless faulty, and faulty items must be reported within 14 days of receipt. Customers are responsible for providing accurate sizing, as sizing adjustments after production may incur additional tailoring costs.
7. Pricing & Transparency
All prices listed on the website include VAT and are based on cloth cost, tailoring labour, import and postage fees, exclusive tartan production, brand design time, packaging, and the luxury boutique mark-up. The customer is responsible for postage fees displayed at checkout.
8. Shipping & Delivery
Once your item is completed: UK orders ship via Royal Mail Tracked services, and international orders use appropriate tracked couriers. Shipping costs include packaging and insurance, and tracking will be provided once dispatched.
9. Intellectual Property
All House of Vere designs, logos, tartan patterns, branding, images, and written content are protected intellectual property. Reproduction, copying, or unauthorized use is prohibited.
10. Customer Responsibility
Customers must provide accurate measurements, complete genealogical verification when required, read and understand waiting times, and ensure their shipping information is correct. Please note that all House of Vere garments require specialist Cut, Make & Trim (CMT) work in addition to the cost of weaving the tartan. Multiple skilled craftspeople are involved in the creation of each piece, and this professional tailoring service forms part of the final price.

Modern Slavery Statement
Introduction-
The House of Vere, a luxury boutique, uses only Scottish woolen mills for handmade tartan garments, thereby already complying with this standard. However, we also partner with other wholesale companies for products that do not fall under the category of Scottish heritage garments. We have sourced the most ethical companies to provide these products, and this is the company statement from our outsourcing.
Our responsibility to prevent modern slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chain is something we take extremely seriously.
We are committed to taking all reasonable steps to combat modern slavery and human trafficking through the implementation and development of best business practices.
We aim to reach our commercial goals while conducting our operations at the House of Vere in a reputable, responsible manner.
This statement outlines the steps we have taken and plan to take in 2024/2025 to identify, understand, and minimize potential risks relating to modern slavery and human trafficking within our business structure and supply chain.
Our Structure and Business
Beechfeilds, referred to as the Company, not only employs individuals directly but also maintains relationships with various organizations in its supply chain and customer base.
We operate four leading textile accessory brands, supplied to the rebranding, personalization, and promotional industry. The brands are distributed through a network of distribution partners operating throughout Europe. We have 60 permanent employees.
Our global annual turnover is approximately £60 million.
Our Supply Chains
Our supply chains include our factory base, covering raw materials and manufacturing, logistics suppliers, as well as ‘not for resale’ goods and service providers to cover fixtures and fittings used in our offices, IT equipment, utilities, waste services, marketing, advertising, accounting, legal, professional services, recruitment, and training.
Our suppliers vary in size, expertise, and industry, and many are themselves reliant on their own supply chain to provide goods or services to us.
The factories we work with manufacture the products we sell to our customers. Our factory base predominantly consists of suppliers based in China, India, Pakistan, and more recently Vietnam. We have established good working relationships with our factories, many of which we have collaborated with for a significant number of years.
Our Policies and Due Diligence Processes on Slavery and Human Trafficking
We are committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships, ensuring transparency in our operations and our approach to tackling modern slavery throughout our supply chains, consistent with our disclosure obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
We recognize that our supply chain predominantly operates in countries where the risk of modern slavery, child labor, and human trafficking is higher than in most other countries. Therefore, we have implemented and enforced effective systems and controls to ensure that modern slavery is not taking place in our business or any of our supply chains.
We expect the same high standards from all our contractors, suppliers, and other business partners. As part of our contracting processes, we include specific prohibitions against the use of forced, compulsory, or trafficked labor, or anyone held in slavery or servitude, whether adults or children, and we require that our suppliers uphold these same high standards with their own suppliers.
The Company’s recruitment is conducted through our human resources department and department managers, supported by recruitment agencies when necessary. All screening, interviewing, and assessing is performed in-house. The process includes conducting thorough ‘Right to Work’ checks for all employees to safeguard them against human trafficking or being forced to work against their will.
The Company operates an open-door policy, encouraging all employees to report any concerns regarding matters involving the business or supply chains in connection with modern slavery or human trafficking.
To further prevent modern slavery in our business and supply chain, we continuously review our systems and procedures to:
- Identify and assess potential risk areas in our supply chains.
- Mitigate the risk of slavery and human trafficking occurring in our supply chains.
- Monitor potential risk areas in our supply chains.
- Protect whistleblowers through our Whistleblowing Policy.
Training
Training on this policy, and on the risks our business faces from modern slavery in its supply chains, forms part of staff coaching and development as necessary.
Our Effectiveness in Combating Slavery and Human Trafficking
We will monitor the effectiveness of our practices to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking do not occur in our business or supply chains.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes our slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31st December 2025.
